Oh Crit! The DnD Improv Show Video Campaign from September

Hello again, void. I’m sorry it’s been a few months since you heard from me. There’s just so much going on right now, it’s hard to keep everything straight. Ok, where were we? Right, back in September. Back in September some very good...

My name is William Petruzzo

I am an artist and a creative explorer.

I began my journey as a child admiring my father’s photography. I took a liking to illustration and cinema, and later to graphic design. My medium has always been visual, until recently when I began experimenting with music.

In my view, art is uniquely human, and that is how I define it: as that which is created by a human with intention. I believe there is a great deal to learn about ourselves and those around us if we give ourselves to the discipline of bringing things to life every day. Even when it’s ugly, art is love and love brings life.

I believe a happy life is one with people you love, and passions you have the freedom to pursue. I create for myself, and for my livelihood. If you are interested in commissioning my services, you can do so through the Petruzzo Photography collective. You can also find me on Mastodon.

March: Blinking

Look guys, music is hard okay. Especially when you can’t use the Great Calculator known as the computer to fill in the technical gaps for you. Such is the case with singing. It’s exceptionally difficult to do well, yet I insist on writing songs and...

February: Kodachrome, A Rendition

Last month, I uploaded my first instrumental track. It was a challenge to let go of the sense of narrative that comes when you add vocals to a song. I also announced that I intended to make one song each month in 2015. And today, I’m keeping up with my goal and...

January: Ah Ah Ah Oh

I’m going to make music in 2015. At least one song every month, I hope. January’s tune was described by an early listener as “shoe-gaze”, which is a term I’m not entirely familiar with. But I’m pretty sure I get the gist. And...

Lets Pretend it’s Christmas

Listen to ‘Lets Pretend It’s Christmas’ It’s Christmas Eve. It was around this time of year that my mother died, not too long ago. The holidays have not been quite the same since. It’s brought up a lot of questions about what Christmas...

Non-Sequitous Images of New Orleans

I spent several days in New Orleans on a wedding assignment. While there, I wandered the area around Bourbon Street with a colleague. We spoke to locals and tourists and just generally enjoyed the vibe. These images are not the result of intention. They are nothing...

Books I’ve Been Reading

What EveryBODY is Saying [Review]

What EveryBODY Is Saying by Joe Navarro is a book about body language. Yes, it’s probably the same book that guest on Fox News read right before confidently spouting a bunch of bullshit about how Obama was definitely lying because he took his hands out of his...

The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur [Review]

The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur by Mike Michalowicz is an irreverent guide to getting a business up and running without the formal advantages most other business books assume you’ll have. The title comes from that moment in the bathroom when you realize...

Profit First [Review]

Let me start by saying, I am not a money guru. I almost never think about it, except when I don’t have enough. I’ve hobbled through my personal and business finances for years, never fully recovering from stupid mistakes a teenager made in my name, but not...
